Morgan Freeman has been making headlines for a number of great reasons that have nothing to do with his acting career. Recently, Freeman made very strong remarks in support of marijuana legalization, admitting that he uses the herb himself. He also blasted the mainstream medias propaganda campaign during the recent protests against police brutality in Baltimore.

Last year, during an interview on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he discussed his plan to house 26 hives of bees on his 124-acre ranch in Mississippi.

Theres a concerted effort to bring bees back onto the planet. We do not realize that they are the foundation, I think, of the growth of the planet, the vegetation. I have so many flowering things, and I have a gardener too. Because she takes care of the bees too, all she does is figure out, OK, what would they like to have?, so weve got acres and acres of clover, were planting stuff like lavender, Ive got like, maybe 140 magnolia trees, big blossoms, Freeman said in the interview with MMN.

Ive not ever used (the beekeeping hat) with my bees. They havent (stung me) yet because right now Im not trying to harvest honey or anything; Im just feeding them… I think they understand, Hey, dont bother this guy, hes got sugar water here. he added.
